{"id":76,"date":"2018-03-02T16:52:00","date_gmt":"2018-03-02T16:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/maximebernier.com\/?p=76"},"modified":"2025-05-15T16:56:31","modified_gmt":"2025-05-15T16:56:31","slug":"canada-is-failing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/maximebernier.com\/fr\/2018\/03\/02\/canada-is-failing\/","title":{"rendered":"Canada is failing"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I am at the airport waiting for a flight to Washington, DC.<br><br>I just saw a headline in the&nbsp;<em>Financial Post<\/em>: FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT PLUNGES TO THE LOWEST IN SEVEN YEARS.<br><br>Yes, it was down 26% in 2017 according to the latest StatsCan report.&nbsp;<strong>Foreign investors are losing faith in the Canadian economy.<\/strong><br><br>Thinking about Justin Trudeau\u2019s budget again\u2026.<br><br>So, I decided to share this quick economic note with my best supporters, such as you.<br><br>With Justin Trudeau, Canada\u2019s economy is failing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Free trade with the U.S. is in peril.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Canada\u2019s long-standing corporate tax advantages with the U.S. is gone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pipeline projects are stalled if not completely abandoned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We are failing to shift growth from debt-fueled consumption to exports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Business investment stagnates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Money flows out of the country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And there\u2019s a plunge in the number of business start-ups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Justin Trudeau\u2019s solution?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Addressing men and boys \u201cgendered intersecting identities\u201d (what does that even mean?!).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And spending millions on a bogus gender-based analysis of everything.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This nonsense must stop.<\/strong><br><br>We must get rid of this Prime Minister who is so out of touch with Canadians.<br><br>Canadians want real economic leadership.<br><br>Our conservative team in Ottawa can\u2019t wait to get rid of Justin Trudeau.<br><br>Best,<br>-Max<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am at the airport waiting for a flight to Washington, DC.
